The ETF series magnetic particle (powder) brakes and clutches vary their torque steplessly by controlling the applied current. This makes them a preferred choice for tension control systems in particular.
In applications such as handling film, fabric and paper rolls they operate without friction contact, so wear is lower than with other systems and service life is long.
