The Hydro-Mec Rightangle family consists of modular worm gearboxes. The one-piece aluminium alloy housing combines low weight with high strength, and vacuum impregnation removes the need for additional sealing treatment.
The worm is case-hardened and ground alloy steel, while the bronze wheel is centrifugally cast onto an iron hub. The gearboxes are factory-filled with synthetic lubricant for life and need no breather. Versions with a helical primary reduction or combined double-worm units provide higher ratios, and a stainless steel hollow shaft is available.
