The Yılmaz Redüktör V series consists of helical gear units with parallel shafts, designed specifically for crane hoisting. The centre distance between input and output is kept as large as possible so that larger rope drums can be used.
A GGG40 nodular cast iron monoblock housing and tapered roller bearings provide high radial load capacity. The output shaft is splined to DIN 5480 and made of heat-treated nitrided steel. The gear unit bolts directly to the crane frame through holes in the housing, and options such as brakes, encoders and forced-ventilation fans allow a complete hoist drive.
