GAMAK single-phase induction motors run on standard 220/230 V single-phase supplies wherever a three-phase industrial supply is not available. The phase shift needed for starting is created by an auxiliary winding and a capacitor.
Two main series are offered: M22D permanent-capacitor motors for low starting-torque loads such as fans, centrifugal pumps and air conditioning, and MK22D, whose centrifugal switch and start capacitor deliver high starting torque for compressors and machines that start under load.
Both series cover 0.12–3 kW in aluminium frames 71, 80, 90 and 100, with 2 or 4 poles, IE2 efficiency, IP55 protection and class F insulation, and are rated for S1 continuous duty.
