Emtaş slip-ring induction motors have a wound rotor brought out through slip rings. External resistors in the rotor circuit limit the starting current and allow the starting torque to be adjusted, which makes them a good choice for smooth starts under heavy load.
They are built in frame sizes 132 to 315 with outputs from 2.2 kW to 160 kW and 4, 6 or 8 poles. They come with IP55 protection, IC 411 cooling and S3 intermittent duty ratings from 100% down to 25%, in B3, B5 and B3/B5 mountings.
