The ELK 2MD series comprises single-phase induction motors with a single run capacitor that stays connected in the auxiliary winding circuit. They offer quiet, smooth running in fans, ventilation units and centrifugal pumps that do not need high starting torque.
The motors are built in frames 63–90, from 0.12 to 2.2 kW, with 2 or 4 poles and IE2 efficiency. The symmetrical frame allows the terminal box to be placed near the drive end or the fan end, and the removable feet attach to the underside of the frame.
