VSP Series Single-Phase Asynchronous Motors

The Volt VSP series comprises single-phase induction motors for low-power applications. They are built in aluminium frames 63–100 with 2, 4 or 6 poles for 220 V 50 Hz and stand out for quiet running, compact size and easy commissioning.

Two types are available: permanent capacitor motors, where the capacitor stays connected during starting and running, and capacitor start and run motors, where an extra start capacitor is switched in only during starting to raise starting torque. A mechanical cut-out switches the start winding in and out automatically according to current and speed, reducing heating and extending capacitor life.
