The Volt VTP series comprises three-phase induction motors for a wide range of uses, from industrial plants to pump and fan systems. They are built in aluminium frames 63–200 with 2, 4 or 6 poles for 400 V 50 Hz, and motors with special shafts or other ratings, speeds, voltages and frequencies are available on request.
The finned, high-surface-area frame dissipates heat efficiently, lowering winding and bearing temperatures. Sturdy feet and machined bearing seats reduce misalignment, vibration and noise. The rotor combines a low-loss lamination stack with a die-cast aluminium cage and is dynamically balanced with a half key.
The motors can be started direct-on-line, via star-delta or a soft starter, or run on a VFD. The terminal box offers generous space and 360° cable routing for quick installation. B3 foot-mounted, B5 flange and B14 face-flange versions are available.
